Vegas

I couldn't find anyone to go to Vegas with me to watch the Jimmer in the MWC tournament. And Ashley had been looking for a half marathon to run. So there was a pretty cool one over Hoover Dam the same weekend as the MWC tournament. Little did I know I was creating drama since I later found out my good cousin Ben was going and crashing at our Uncle Mont's place (next time you are in Vegas, I highly recommend crashing with Mont). The part about Ben I later learned was he had planned a guys only trip and refused even to allow his sister in law to come or any other wives. But he didn't tell me that detail until we were there. He and his friends were very accommodating with the kids and having a female there. The kids loved the dog and especially Sophie. She still refers to her as her friend Sophie in Las Vegas.

We pushed the kids down the strip and stopped at Serendipity for a $9 frozen hot chocolate. It was very good and we debated getting another before we returned although definitely the type of thing you only buy on vacation. We wanted to try other kinds but at $9 a pop, we decided to share one. And here is a rare picture of myself. Since Ash doesn't post much, it is easy to self-edit myself out of the posts :)
Gator on his first horseback ride. He seemed to like it. Maister was being a bit delicate about getting on a horse and will have to wait for another chance.
I can't remember if this was the first time Ashley rode or not. There you can see Mont. This is his horse that Sophie rides. I'll say the horse was pretty intelligent. So much so, that it didn't bother listening to any of my instructions.

Here you can see Michelle. Her and Pais were best of friends while we were there. Mont and Michelle are incredible hosts and have an excellent house. It was a downgrade coming back to our Master from staying in their guest room.
